FOR RELEASE: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2026 — EMBARGOED UNTIL 6:00 AM PT STILL HEALTH LAUNCHES ON iOS: A FITNESS APP THAT TRACKS STILLNESS INSTEAD OF STEPS The Inactivity Optimizer awards trophies for sitting, crowns each team's stillest member every Monday, and runs on real motion data. Free to track; Premium unlocks the league. LOS ANGELES — September 29, 2026 — Still Health LLC today released Still Health — The Inactivity Optimizer, a fitness app for iPhone that measures what fitness apps have always treated as dead time: the hours you spend not moving. Users press Start, sit down, and the app tracks the session — stillness time, interruptions, steps, distance, and pace — on Apple's Core Motion sensors, processed on the device. Trophies are awarded for sitting. Personal records are kept. The joke is played completely straight, and the data underneath is real. HOW IT WORKS A session survives the phone going to sleep: Still Health anchors every session to the wall clock and reconciles it against the iPhone's motion coprocessor when the screen wakes, so a four-hour sit is recorded as a four-hour sit. Average pace reads ∞ until ground is actually covered. Nothing on screen is a placeholder; every figure is measured or infinite. THE LEAGUE Premium members add friends, form teams, and compete on standings. Every Monday, WEEKLY HONORS names each team's stillest member. Team chat supports photos, and a fixed catalog of ten badges provides sanctioned trash talk — five compliments and five jabs, including CAUGHT MOVING. Teams are consent-based (invitations and join requests, never silent adds), every user can block or report, and reports are typically reviewed within 24 hours under published community rules. THE OTHER HALF Still Health also carries the evidence-backed piece of the sit-less genre: move, posture, and hydration reminders on real cadences; 32 guided exercises; focus and relax audio; and DAILY MOTIVATION, a rotating one-line briefing delivered with a straight face. PRICING Free: stillness tracking, reminders, personal records, and the daily summary. Basic — Solo Edition: $4.99, one-time. All 32 guided exercises, focus/relax audio, full history and achievements. Everything except other people. Premium: $4.99 per month, or $24.99 per year with a 7-day free trial. The league — friends, teams, standings, Weekly Honors, chat, and photo sharing — plus everything in Basic. All purchases are made through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Accounts can be deleted in full from inside the app. PRIVACY Motion data is processed on the device. Still Health does not collect location. The app's privacy policy, terms, and community rules are published at stillhealthapp.com. "It seems like every fitness app carries an invisible bonus — a sense of pressure to perform. I don't know if the one hour of making the app happy is worth the guilt of the other twenty-three," said Brad Hamilton, founder of Still Health LLC. "So I built an app to celebrate the other twenty-three hours. The joke is played straight, with daily motivational thoughts to encourage sitting still. But it can still handle that extra hour, too. All the data is real. Weekly Honors are handed out every Monday to the most still member of each team." THE BUILD Hamilton is a creative director with no engineering background. He designed every screen of Still Health and shipped it — a native SwiftUI app with on-device motion tracking, a full social backend, and Apple In-App Purchases — in partnership with AI over four months. He discusses the process, including what did not work, openly. AVAILABILITY Still Health — The Inactivity Optimizer is available today on the App Store for iPhone, in English (U.S.), for users 13 and older.
