This policy explains what Still Health LLC ("Still Health," "we") collects when you use the Still Health app or stillhealthapp.com, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It is part of our Terms of Use.

01The short version

We collect the minimum needed to run a satirical fitness app with friends in it. We do not run ads, we do not sell or share your data for advertising, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use your data or content to train artificial-intelligence models. Deleting your account in the app permanently deletes your data from our servers.

02Who we are and what this covers

Still Health LLC, a California limited liability company (contact details in Section 18), is the controller of the personal information described here. This policy covers the Still Health iOS app and the stillhealthapp.com website (together, the "Service"). It does not cover Apple's processing when you sign in with Apple, buy something through the App Store, or receive push notifications through Apple's servers; Apple's own privacy policy covers that.

03What we collect

CategoryWhat, specificallySource
AccountEmail address (or your Sign in with Apple identity, which may be an Apple private-relay address), a display name and handle you choose, an optional profile photo, and your email-verification status. You; Apple if you sign in with Apple.
Activity dataMotion-derived numbers computed on your device — stillness time, interruptions, steps, distance, pace — with session start and end times, plus the streaks, records, and trophies derived from them. Your totals are stored on our servers so that standings and Weekly Honors can be shared with the friends and teams you join.Your device's motion sensors, processed on the device.
Content you createChat messages, photos you send, badges you send and receive, team names and membership, friend connections, and the reports and blocks you submit. You; other users when they message or badge you.
TechnicalA user ID, a push-notification token so your phone can receive notifications, an app-integrity attestation (Apple App Check) that proves requests come from the genuine app, app version, timestamps, and the standard server logs our infrastructure provider keeps, which include IP addresses.Your device; our infrastructure provider.
PurchasesPurchases are processed by Apple. The app reads your Basic or Premium entitlement status from Apple's StoreKit on your device. We do not receive your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID password.Apple.
SupportAnything you send us when you write to support, including your email address and the contents of your message.You.

Location. If you enable the optional live map, your location is used on your device only to draw your route. Route coordinates are not uploaded to our servers, and we do not derive your location from your IP address.

What we do not collect. No contacts, no calendar, no microphone; the camera and photo library are used only for photos you choose to send; no advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics or advertising software, and no health records. Motion data never leaves your device except as the totals described above.

04How we use it

To operate the app: your stats, trophies, and records; standings and Weekly Honors among the friends and teams you join; delivering messages, badges, and notifications; keeping the service safe (reviewing reported content, enforcing the Community Rules, preventing abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access); supporting you when you contact us; complying with law and responding to lawful requests; and keeping the service running — monitoring errors, capacity, and abuse through the operational logs our provider keeps. That's the list. We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we make no decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.

05Legal bases (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information on these bases: performance of our contract with you (providing the app, your account, and the social features you choose); legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, moderation, and service improvement, balanced against your rights); consent, for optional device permissions such as motion, notifications, photos, and location — which you can withdraw at any time in iOS Settings; and legal obligations.

06Who we share it with

Service providers
Google LLC, through Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions, push messaging, app integrity, and website hosting), stores and processes data on our behalf, in the United States, under contract terms that restrict its use to providing those services. Apple Inc. processes sign-in, purchases, and push-notification delivery under its own terms.
Other users
As you choose, and only as described in Section 7.
Legal and safety
We disclose information when we believe in good faith it is required by law, subpoena, or court order; to enforce our Terms; to detect or prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Still Health, our users, or the public. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as the law requires.
Business transfers
If Still Health LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy; we will notify you of any change in who controls it.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done either in the preceding twelve months. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

07Who can see what inside the app

Your handle, display name, avatar, and shared stillness figures are visible to the friends and team members you connect with — that is the point of the social features. Your handle can be found by other users who search for it when adding a friend, and team names can be found by users who search for teams. Chat content is visible to its participants, who can keep or screenshot it like any group conversation. Team creators can see their team's members. Nothing about you is public to strangers outside the app, and there is no public profile page.

08Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. Delete your account any time in the app (Setup → Account → Delete Account): our servers permanently remove your profile, activity history, standings, messages, photos, push token, and login credential, and we revoke your Sign in with Apple token. Messages you sent to a team chat that continues after you leave may remain visible to that team. A minimal tombstone record of the deletion request — the fact that an account was deleted and when, with no personal content — is retained for audit purposes. Residual copies in our provider's backups and logs are removed on their normal schedule, and support emails are kept as long as needed to resolve your request and for our records.

Deleting your Still Health account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage that in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

09Children

Still Health is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Users between 13 and the age of majority where they live may use the app only with a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us at support@stillhealthapp.com and we will delete it.

10Your choices

11Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a portable copy, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We extend these rights to everyone, wherever you live.

How to exercise them. Deletion and most corrections are available directly in the app. For anything else, email support@stillhealthapp.com from the address on your account, or write to the address in Section 18. We verify requests by confirming control of the account email; we may ask for more information if we cannot match a request to an account. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your written permission, and we may still confirm the request with you directly. We respond within one month; where the law allows more time (for example 45 days, extendable once, under several U.S. state laws) we may take it, and we will tell you if we do. If we decline a request, we will say why, and you may appeal by replying to our response; we answer appeals within 45 days.

Other U.S. states. If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law (for example Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, or another that has followed), the rights above apply to you, including the right to appeal a decision by replying to our response. Nevada residents: we do not sell personal information and have no opt-out to record. Illinois residents: we collect no biometric identifiers or biometric information of any kind.

EEA, UK, and Switzerland. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. We have not appointed a representative in the EEA or UK; contact us directly using Section 18. Brazil (LGPD): the rights above apply, and our contact for data-protection matters (encarregado) is the address in Section 18. Canada (PIPEDA and provincial laws): you may access and correct your information and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. Australia: the Australian Privacy Principles inform how we handle your information, and you may complain to the OAIC. Wherever you are, the same email works.

Health information, specifically. Still Health LLC is not a health-care provider and is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA; nothing in the app is a medical record. Because activity figures can be regarded as health-related information under some laws, we treat them with the care those laws expect, described in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

12California residents

This section supplements the rest of the policy for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). In the preceding twelve months we have collected the following categories of personal information, for the purposes in Section 4, from the sources in Section 3, and disclosed them to the service providers in Section 6, to other users as you choose (Section 7), and for the legal and safety purposes in Section 6:

CCPA categoryExamples in Still HealthSold or shared?
IdentifiersEmail address, handle, display name, user ID, IP address in provider logs, push token. No
Commercial informationYour Basic or Premium entitlement status (from Apple; no payment details). No
Internet or network activityApp version, timestamps, and standard server logs.No
Audio, visual, or similarProfile photos and photos you send in chat.No
Sensitive personal informationAccount log-in credentials (held by our authentication provider); motion-derived activity figures, which may be considered health-related information. We use sensitive information only to provide the services you ask for and do not use it to infer characteristics about you.No
Not collectedPrecise geolocation (route drawing stays on your device), biometric identifiers, protected classifications, professional or education information, and inferences used to profile you.

You have the rights to know, delete, correct, and receive your information, to opt out of sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to non-discrimination, all described in Section 11. Because we do not sell or share personal information and use sensitive information only for the purposes the law permits without an opt-out, there is nothing to opt out of; we honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals to the extent they apply, which, given the above, is no additional effect. We offer no financial incentives in exchange for personal information. Shine the Light: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Retention for each category is described in Section 8.

13Consumer health data

Some states, including Washington, Nevada, and Connecticut, treat information about physical activity as consumer health data and require a separate notice. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy describes the activity figures we collect, where they come from, how they are used and shared, and how to withdraw consent or delete them. It applies to everyone, not only residents of those states.

14Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit; access to your data is enforced server-side by per-user security rules that allow you to read only what you are entitled to; uploads are size- and type-restricted; requests are verified as coming from the genuine app; and new accounts must verify their email address. No system is perfect, but we take the defense of your very calm data seriously. If a security incident — or an unauthorized disclosure — affects your personal information, we will notify you without unreasonable delay — within 60 days of discovery, or sooner where the law requires — tell you what happened, what information was involved, who received it if we know, and what we are doing about it, and we will notify regulators (including the U.S. Federal Trade Commission where its Health Breach Notification Rule applies, and state authorities) as the law requires.

15International users and transfers

Still Health LLC is based in California, and our service providers store and process data in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where the law requires, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses in our provider's terms. The app is offered in U.S. English. Our point of contact for users and authorities in every jurisdiction, including under the European Union's Digital Services Act, is support@stillhealthapp.com, in English; how to notify us of illegal content is described in Section 10 of the Terms of Use.

16The website

stillhealthapp.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising code. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a limited period for security and reliability. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a request, including your IP address, to Google when a page loads; Google's privacy policy governs that request. The landing page counts how long the page has been open using only your browser's clock; nothing about that counter is sent anywhere.

17Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and give you notice in the app or by email, before the change takes effect where practicable. Earlier versions are available on request.
